SPECIAL GUEST IN OZ:
Ray Bolger's only surviving niece attended a performance of The Wizard of Oz, after having seen it hundreds of times in multiple states and countries throughout her life. Regarding Michaela's performance, she remarked, full of emotion: "You...I have to hug you...you, my dear, are the closest you can get to her [Judy Garland]." This was an honor Michaela will never forget.
Michaela Catapano is a passionate, kid-at-heart singer, actress, and dancer. She started singing in a high chair and she hasn't stopped since! Her well rounded education in Musical Theatre was obtained at Wilkes University, where she earned not only her BFA in MT, but also a Minor in Dance. This included pointe and performing in full length ballets. Her most cherished role so far is Liesl in The Sound of Music; getting to connect with her inner child is one of Michaela's favorite parts of doing theatre, and Liesl certainly made that easy! Additional favorites include Libby in Neil Simon's I Ought to Be in Pictures and a Theatre for Young Audiences national tour.
